Attorney Christine Marinello
Christine has been a practicing attorney since 1998 and is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. After graduating with honors from Suffolk University Law School, where she was on the editorial board of the Transnational Law Review, Christine began her litigation career in Boston handling personal injury, premises liability, contract, and employment law cases. Upon returning to her home state of Rhode Island in 2005, she focused primarily on civil litigation in private law firms and later worked as a staff attorney in a nonprofit law firm. She established Marinello Law in 2011, with an initial focus on employment, education, civil rights, children’s healthcare needs, and contracts.
As of September, 2023, Attorney Marinello is no longer accepting individual cases. Her private practice is limited to serving as guardian ad litem (“GAL”) when appointed by RI probate courts and civil mediation, offered exclusively through Key Mediation, LLC.
Christine’s substantive experience is instrumental for mediations in which parties or their attorneys seek a case evaluation as part of the mediation process. She is known for her tireless and pragmatic approach, and her ability to assist parties in crafting solutions that work for all involved. She has been awarded an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubbell, a peer rating that signifies the highest level of professional excellence for legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards. She has also been recognized by peers in RI Monthly’s Excellence in the Law for several years as a mediator, most recently in 2023.
Attorney Marinello is active in her community, engaging in pro bono and public engagement work for the benefit of others. She has volunteered as a mediator for the annual Superior Court Settlement week and was an ACLU Volunteer Attorney from 2017-August 2023. She is a member of various bar committees, including Labor and Employment Law, Superior Court, Family Court, and ADR. She was a member of the North Kingstown Charter Commission (2017-2020) and volunteers on the North Kingstown Personnel Board.
